The Albin Polasek Foundation, Inc. was founded by sculptor Albin Polasek and his wife Emily in 1961.
The foundation was officially incorporated on February 17, 1966, as a 501©(3) non-profit organization. The mission of the foundation, along with the mission of the museum is: To promote the legacy of internationally known sculptor, Albin Polasek N.A., and to encourage study, appreciation and the furtherance of representational art. The foundation’s heritage is rich and its accomplishments worthy of admiration and praise. The trustees have always been men and women of integrity.
Since incorporation, the foundation’s designation has been changed to a 501©(3) public charity, non-profit organization. The budget is funded by donations and membership. All donations and dues go to support the preservation, maintenance and operation of the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens.
