The Albin Polasek Foun­da­tion, Inc. was founded by sculp­tor Albin Polasek and his wife Emily in 1961.

The foun­da­tion was offi­cially incor­po­rated on Feb­ru­ary 17, 1966, as a 501©(3) non-profit orga­ni­za­tion. The mis­sion of the foun­da­tion, along with the mis­sion of the museum is: To pro­mote the legacy of inter­na­tion­ally known sculp­tor, Albin Polasek N.A., and to encour­age study, appre­ci­a­tion and the fur­ther­ance of rep­re­sen­ta­tional art. The foundation’s her­itage is rich and its accom­plish­ments wor­thy of admi­ra­tion and praise. The trustees have always been men and women of integrity.

Since incor­po­ra­tion, the foundation’s des­ig­na­tion has been changed to a 501©(3) pub­lic char­ity, non-profit orga­ni­za­tion. The bud­get is funded by dona­tions and mem­ber­ship. All dona­tions and dues go to sup­port the preser­va­tion, main­te­nance and oper­a­tion of the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculp­ture Gardens.
