The Polasek Museum is committed to being a good steward of the land and to fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of our environment. Our short-term goal is to inventory the environmental resources and review our management practices.

The long-term goal includes continued management of invasive plant species, restrained use of fertilizers and pesticides, gardening compatibly with wildlife especially the locally established American Wood Duck population, and composting garden waste. (Photo: Randall Smith)
